The Acer Aspire 3 15 is less expensive and is suitable for general use with its decent screen and battery life but has basic performance levels best suited for light tasks. The Lenovo V15 is somewhat more expensive, offering better performance with higher storage capacity and more memory, which might be beneficial for more demanding tasks such as multitasking and routine office work. Keep in mind, the Acer is quieter with fanless operation, while the Lenovo has a different screen technology that might not offer the same viewing angles and color accuracy as the Acer's IPS display. The Lenovo being slightly lighter, makes it a bit more portable. Choose the Acer if you are looking for an economical option for basic tasks and quiet operation, or opt for the Lenovo if you need better performance, more storage and can afford to spend more. The Lenovo V15 is good for general use, while the Acer Aspire 3 15 is only fair.
The Lenovo V15 outperforms the Acer Aspire 3 15 in general use largely due to its better main processor and double the RAM, which provide smoother multitasking and faster performance. Although both feature similar screen sizes and types, the Lenovo V15 also benefits from significantly more storage space and superior heat management, but it has a lower battery life and the Acer enjoys silent operation due to its fanless design.

The Acer Aspire 3 15 has a better screen than the Lenovo V15 for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design, while the Lenovo V15 has a better screen for software development.
If you prioritize a clear and vibrant display for everyday tasks like browsing and watching videos, the Acer Aspire 3 with a fair screen might serve you better than the Lenovo V15, which has poorer display characteristics. For engineering and design work, where accurate colors are crucial, the Acer's fair color gamut support may offer more precise color reproduction than the Lenovo. However, for gaming and 3D applications that demand fluid motion, neither laptop is ideal due to their lack of high refresh rates, though the Acer's fair resolution and panel type still edge out the Lenovo V15's poorer screen in these respects.

The Acer Aspire 3 15 and Lenovo V15 are both adequate for gaming and 3D tasks due to their similar attributes: they house integrated GPUs with the Aspire featuring the AMD Radeon 610M and the V15 utilizing the Vega 7 graphics from the AMD Ryzen 5 5500U CPU, and both have screens with standard refresh rates of 60Hz. However, the Acer's IPS display typically offers better color and viewing angles compared to Lenovo's TN panel, which may affect the overall screen quality experience during use.

How the Acer Aspire 3 15 and the Lenovo V15 compare to other laptops
Alexander Tozzi, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | March 2023
"The Acer Aspire 3 is okay for school use. It feels reasonably well-built, and it's easy to carry around. The display looks decently sharp and provides plenty of space for multitasking, but it doesn't get bright enough to combat glare. Its Intel Core i3-N305 CPU and integrated graphics can only handle simple tasks, like text processing, web browsing, and video playback, so it isn't ideal for students in more technical fields like 3D graphics. Unfortunately, the battery lasts only around six to seven hours of light use."
"The strengths of the Lenovo V15 G2 AMD lie in its expandability of the RAM and allowing you to use two SSDs, in its performance that goes beyond everyday applications thanks to AMD's hexa-core CPU and Vega-7 iGPU, in its good keyboard, and its relatively robust case. In addition, the battery life of the office laptop is also acceptable, and the device stays cool and relatively quiet."
