If you want a more affordable laptop for general use with a larger screen, the Acer Aspire 3 15 is less expensive and has a 15.6-inch display, but it comes with less storage and memory. On the other hand, the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i, while more expensive, provides better performance suitable for engineering and more intensive tasks with its higher-end processor, more memory, and substantial storage. It also features superior build quality, a backlit keyboard, and is lighter and more compact for improved portability, with a 14-inch screen and longer battery life. Both laptops have similar screen qualities, but they are not designed for intensive gaming. Give Feedback

The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i has a better screen than the Acer Aspire 3 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Acer Aspire 3 15's screen is satisfactory for general tasks due to its adequate resolution and brightness but falls short for gaming and 3D applications because of its lower refresh rate, which can hinder smooth motion rendering. The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i offers a vibrant display with suitable resolution and brightness for daily computing and color-sensitive engineering work, though its color range is less extensive than specialized monitors, it excels past the Acer in those aspects. However, similar to the Acer, the IdeaPad's screen is less optimal for gaming and 3D due to a refresh rate that won't provide the fluid visuals desired in high-paced gaming environments.

The Acer Aspire 3 15 and the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i are both rated fair for gaming and 3D tasks because their GPUs are not high-end gaming-specific models, and they have standard screen refresh rates of 60Hz, which are not ideal for high-frame-rate gaming. How the Acer Aspire 3 15 and the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i compare to other laptops
Alexander Tozzi, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | March 2023
"The Acer Aspire 3 is okay for school use. It feels reasonably well-built, and it's easy to carry around. The display looks decently sharp and provides plenty of space for multitasking, but it doesn't get bright enough to combat glare. Its Intel Core i3-N305 CPU and integrated graphics can only handle simple tasks, like text processing, web browsing, and video playback, so it isn't ideal for students in more technical fields like 3D graphics. Unfortunately, the battery lasts only around six to seven hours of light use."
"Among Lenovo's multiple laptop brands, the IdeaPad family is decidedly the one designed for consumers: people who want decent performance at a reasonable price. Consider, then, this laptop a paragon for the pickier members of that crowd. With a 14-inch touch-enabled display, a comfortable keyboard, an Evo-certified Intel Core i7 11th Generation CPU, and the latest Windows 11 operating system, the IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro ultraportable ($1,199 as tested) is a slick mainstream machine at a bit of a premium price, and quite capable for everyday tasks."
