The Acer Aspire 3 15 is a budget-friendly option with moderate performance suited for general tasks, longer battery life, and a lighter weight for easy portability. In contrast, the Gigabyte Aorus 5, priced at a premium, offers significantly better performance for 3D rendering, machine learning, and engineering work, along with enhanced gaming capabilities due to its more powerful processor and GPU. However, the Aorus 5 is heavier and has a shorter battery life, which may affect its portability. Choose the Acer if you prioritize affordability and battery life for everyday use, or the Gigabyte for high performance in demanding applications and gaming. Give Feedback

The Gigabyte Aorus 5 is good for general use, while the Acer Aspire 3 15 is only fair.
The Acer Aspire 3 15, with its fair performance, lower RAM and less powerful processor, is better suited for lighter computing tasks, while the Gigabyte Aorus 5's higher RAM, more advanced processor, and better screen quality make it well-suited for more demanding general use. Additionally, the Gigabyte Aorus 5's larger storage capacity and superior build features may justify its higher price point for those who need a more robust system for mixed-use scenarios.

The Gigabyte Aorus 5 has a better screen than the Acer Aspire 3 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Acer Aspire 3 15 has a display that offers decent clarity and brightness suitable for everyday tasks like browsing and document editing, but for engineering and design, it lacks the wide color gamuts necessary for accurate color work, and its low refresh rate and resolution are not ideal for the fast-paced visuals in gaming and 3D rendering. On the other hand, the Gigabyte Aorus 5 provides a more vibrant and accurate display beneficial for professional design work, but like the Acer, it falls short for gaming and 3D as its refresh rate is not high enough to keep up with demanding graphics without potential screen tearing or stuttering. Overall, choose the Acer if you prioritize affordability and general use, while the Gigabyte is better for design tasks, but neither is optimal for hardcore gaming and 3D applications.

How the Acer Aspire 3 15 and the Gigabyte Aorus 5 compare to other laptops
Alexander Tozzi, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | March 2023
"The Acer Aspire 3 is okay for school use. It feels reasonably well-built, and it's easy to carry around. The display looks decently sharp and provides plenty of space for multitasking, but it doesn't get bright enough to combat glare. Its Intel Core i3-N305 CPU and integrated graphics can only handle simple tasks, like text processing, web browsing, and video playback, so it isn't ideal for students in more technical fields like 3D graphics. Unfortunately, the battery lasts only around six to seven hours of light use."
"The Gigabyte Aorus 5 SE4 is a capable mainstream gaming notebook that will run the latest PC games with aplomb. However, it's not your stereotypical flashy gaming PC. Gigabyte has added some interesting tweaks. For example, the webcam placement and its Microsoft Azure AI tool — to automatically switch between power modes — are unusual for this genre. But more importantly, the pricing is fairly competitive and reasonable."
