The Acer Aspire 3 15 is less expensive, with basic performance suitable for general use thanks to its AMD Ryzen 3 processor, AMD Radeon graphics, and moderate battery capacity. It has a smaller screen and lower storage capacity, which might be fine for everyday tasks but not for intensive applications. On the other hand, the Gigabyte Aorus 17G is a high-end laptop with a powerful Intel i7 processor, Nvidia RTX graphics, and a large battery, making it ideal for 3D work, machine learning, and gaming. It is heavier and typically costs more, but offers better performance and a larger screen for demanding tasks. Give Feedback

The Gigabyte Aorus 17G is good for gaming and AI, while the Acer Aspire 3 15 is poor.
The Gigabyte Aorus 17G offers better gaming and 3D capabilities with its more powerful Nvidia RTX 3070 GPU and a high refresh rate display of 300 versus the Acer Aspire 3 15's entry-level AMD Radeon 610M GPU and 60 refresh rate, both of which are very important for smooth and detailed visual performance. Additionally, the Aorus 17G's superior CPU and screen quality, which are somewhat important factors, contribute further to its enhanced gaming and 3D experience.

The Gigabyte Aorus 17G is good for engineering and design, while the Acer Aspire 3 15 is poor.
The Gigabyte Aorus 17G offers superior performance for engineering and design due to its more powerful Intel processor, higher RAM, and stronger Nvidia graphics card, along with better screen quality, hence it's suited for more demanding computational tasks. In contrast, the Acer Aspire 3 15, with its AMD Ryzen 3 processor and Radeon graphics, provides fair performance, but it's less capable for intensive applications, although it is lighter and quieter, making it more portable and convenient for less demanding engineering work.

The Gigabyte Aorus 17G has a better screen than the Acer Aspire 3 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, and software development.
When considering the Acer Aspire 3 15 for general use, its screen quality is adequate due to a satisfactory balance of resolution and brightness, which ensures comfortable everyday activities like browsing and video streaming. For engineering and design, although the Acer's screen resolution is sufficient for detail, its limited color gamut may not display colors as accurately as professionals require. Conversely, the Gigabyte Aorus 17G's screen displays colors more vividly and accurately, a boon for engineering and design, but its lower refresh rate, despite a decent resolution and panel type, falls short for the fluid visuals demanded by Gaming and 3D applications.

How the Acer Aspire 3 15 and the Gigabyte Aorus 17G compare to other laptops
Alexander Tozzi, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | March 2023
"The Acer Aspire 3 is okay for school use. It feels reasonably well-built, and it's easy to carry around. The display looks decently sharp and provides plenty of space for multitasking, but it doesn't get bright enough to combat glare. Its Intel Core i3-N305 CPU and integrated graphics can only handle simple tasks, like text processing, web browsing, and video playback, so it isn't ideal for students in more technical fields like 3D graphics. Unfortunately, the battery lasts only around six to seven hours of light use."
"The Aorus 17G isn't among the top RTX 3080 laptops due to its relatively low TGP of 105 watts. The device's gaming performance is average for an RTX 3080. For maximum performance, competitors like the Lenovo Legion 7 or the Alienware m17 R4 are recommended With the Aorus 17G, Gigabyte delivers a well-rounded gaming laptop. However, the device generates a high noise level. Throttling is not an issue. The CPU and GPU can develop their performance uniformly. Nevertheless, the device produces a lot of noise under load - more than many competitors."
