The decision between the Acer Aspire 3 15 and the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G15 largely depends on your needs and budget. The Acer Aspire is more budget-friendly, but has less storage, a less powerful processor, and less RAM compared to the ASUS, making it more suited for general use such as web browsing and office work. The ASUS, while more expensive, comes with significantly more storage, a higher RAM capacity, and a more powerful processor and graphics card, making it ideal for intensive tasks such as gaming, 3D rendering, and engineering software. The ASUS also has a higher-resolution display, which is better for professional creative work. Both laptops have similar battery life and weight, but the Acer Aspire might be quieter as it has a less powerful cooling system. If you require high performance and can manage a higher cost, the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G15 is the stronger option, but for everyday tasks at a lower price, the Acer Aspire 3 15 would suffice. The ASUS ROG Zephyrus G15 is good for general use, while the Acer Aspire 3 15 is only fair.
The ASUS ROG Zephyrus G15 outperforms the Acer Aspire 3 15 due to its superior CPU and RAM, which results in faster performance and better multitasking, alongside a higher resolution and quality screen that enhances visual experience; however, these specs lead to a higher price and slightly reduced portability. The Zephyrus also offers a more robust battery life, more storage space, and advanced heat management, making it not only good for general use but also capable of handling gaming and other intensive tasks, whereas the Aspire 3 15 provides basic capability suitable for everyday tasks at a more accessible price point and with quiet operation.

The ASUS ROG Zephyrus G15 has a better screen than the Acer Aspire 3 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Acer Aspire 3 15 has a screen that works well enough for browsing and video streaming, but its moderate resolution and brightness may not fully satisfy those who focus on visual detail or work in brightly lit environments. For the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G15, the screen excels with high resolution and brightness, making it highly suitable for detailed engineering and design work, but its wider color gamuts are particularly beneficial for professionals in creative fields who require color accuracy. However, both laptops fall short for gaming and 3D applications due to lower refresh rates, which can lead to less smooth visuals in fast-paced scenarios where higher rates are crucial for optimal experiences.

How the Acer Aspire 3 15 and the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G15 compare to other laptops
Alexander Tozzi, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | March 2023
"The Acer Aspire 3 is okay for school use. It feels reasonably well-built, and it's easy to carry around. The display looks decently sharp and provides plenty of space for multitasking, but it doesn't get bright enough to combat glare. Its Intel Core i3-N305 CPU and integrated graphics can only handle simple tasks, like text processing, web browsing, and video playback, so it isn't ideal for students in more technical fields like 3D graphics. Unfortunately, the battery lasts only around six to seven hours of light use."
"As long as you're aware of the fact that the GeForce RTX 3080 laptop version can only unfold its potential to a limited extent due to Asus's low TDP setting and that it can be slower than a fast RTX 3070 laptop, the ROG Zephyrus G15 GA503Q cuts a fine figure. One of the biggest highlights turns out to be the WQHD panel, since it attracts customers with 165 Hz, relatively fast response times, FreeSync, and good color-space coverage. Other selling points are the surprisingly rich sound, the long battery life, and the sleek design. In terms of looks, the white edition stands out nicely from the competition."
