The Acer Aspire 3 15 is a budget-friendly option with decent battery life, making it suitable for general use and casual tasks. However, its lower-end processor and graphics aren't intended for heavy 3D or engineering workloads. Its lighter weight compared to the ASUS ROG Strix G15 makes it more portable for on-the-go usage. In contrast, the ASUS ROG Strix G15 is pricier but offers more robust performance suitable for gaming, 3D rendering, and engineering applications, thanks to its high-end processor and graphics. The tradeoff is reduced battery life and more weight, which impacts portability. Both have similar display sizes and resolutions, but the ASUS has a high refresh rate screen, which is preferable for fast-paced gaming and smoother visuals. Give Feedback

The ASUS ROG Strix G15 is good for general use, while the Acer Aspire 3 15 is only fair.
The Acer Aspire 3 15 offers a modest CPU and RAM, which may hinder multitasking, and it has a less vivid screen and shorter battery life, making it suitable for basic tasks but may lack in performance for more demanding use. On the other hand, the ASUS ROG Strix G15 boasts a more powerful CPU and double the RAM, providing smoother performance for intensive tasks, and a brighter screen with higher refresh rate, but it does come with less portability due to being heavier and having lower battery life.

The ASUS ROG Strix G15 is good for gaming and AI, while the Acer Aspire 3 15 is poor.
The ASUS ROG Strix G15 provides a better gaming and 3D experience primarily due to its superior Nvidia RTX 3050 Ti GPU and a higher screen refresh rate of 144Hz, compared to the Acer Aspire 3 15's AMD Radeon 610M GPU and a 60Hz screen refresh rate. The better GPU in the ASUS enhances graphical performance crucial for gaming, while its screen's higher refresh rate allows for smoother visuals during fast-paced action.

The ASUS ROG Strix G15 has a better screen than the Acer Aspire 3 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, and software development.
The Acer Aspire 3's display delivers adequate clarity and brightness for everyday tasks but lacks the wide color gamut needed for precision in engineering and design work, and its lower refresh rate may not suit the fast-paced visuals required for gaming and 3D applications. The ASUS ROG Strix G15, on the other hand, offers a good balance of resolution and brightness that caters well to general use and is enhanced by a color range that benefits engineering and design professionals; however, despite these strengths, its screen falls short for gaming and 3D due to a refresh rate that isn't suitable for ultra-smooth motion. Hence, while both laptops have trade-offs, the ASUS is a better fit for demanding visual tasks outside of high-end gaming, whereas the Acer Aspire 3 is more aligned with everyday use at a more basic level.

How the Acer Aspire 3 15 and the ASUS ROG Strix G15 compare to other laptops
Alexander Tozzi, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | March 2023
"The Acer Aspire 3 is okay for school use. It feels reasonably well-built, and it's easy to carry around. The display looks decently sharp and provides plenty of space for multitasking, but it doesn't get bright enough to combat glare. Its Intel Core i3-N305 CPU and integrated graphics can only handle simple tasks, like text processing, web browsing, and video playback, so it isn't ideal for students in more technical fields like 3D graphics. Unfortunately, the battery lasts only around six to seven hours of light use."
"The ASUS ROG Strix G15 is a successful high-performance 15-inch laptop. The Asus ROG Strix impresses with an elaborate design and fast hardware. The latter can unleash its potential well in the large 15-inch case and achieve a decent performance boost compared to the previous generation. Especially the stunning 300 Hz display as well as the RTX 3070 and its generous TDP give gamers their money's worth. Asus didn't neglect seemingly small details, either, such as the keyboard and the maintenance options. The ROG Strix G15 offers a lot of pure performance and excellent workmanship in a 15-inch format, but connectivity leaves something to be desired."
