The Acer Aspire 3 with AMD Ryzen and Radeon offers a budget-friendly option that trades off some performance for cost savings. It's suitable for general use but may struggle with 3D tasks or complex engineering software. The XPG Xenia, with an Intel processor and better integrated graphics, is priced higher but provides stronger performance, especially for engineering and graphical applications. It also has a higher RAM capacity for better multitasking. While the Acer has a longer battery life, it is heavier and bulkier; the XPG is lighter and more portable, with a more color-accurate and brighter display which can be advantageous for creative work. The XPG Xenia 14 and Acer Aspire 3 14 are both only fair for engineering and design, though the XPG Xenia 14 is somewhat better.
The Acer Aspire 3 14 is fair for engineering and design use because it offers modest performance with an AMD Ryzen 5 processor, 8 GB of RAM, and AMD Radeon 610M graphics, which may not handle intensive tasks as well as the XPG Xenia 14, which is good for these uses with its higher-grade Intel i5 processor, double the RAM at 16 GB, and more capable Iris Xe graphics. Additionally, the Xenia 14 also boasts a higher resolution and brighter display, enhancing user experience for design-related tasks where screen quality is crucial.

The XPG Xenia 14 has a better screen than the Acer Aspire 3 14 for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
For general use, the Acer Aspire 3 14's screen may not offer the vibrant colors and sharpness associated with higher resolution and brightness found in pricier models, while the XPG Xenia 14 provides a better visual experience with a brighter, higher resolution display. When it comes to engineering and design, the XPG 14 outperforms the Acer as it likely covers a wider range of color gamuts, ensuring that colors are represented more accurately and vividly, which is crucial for professional creative work. However, for gaming and 3D applications, neither laptop is ideal since their screens do not prioritize high refresh rates, which are essential for smooth motion and a responsive gaming experience.

How the Acer Aspire 3 14 and the XPG Xenia 14 compare to other laptops
"The Xenia 14 is a top 14-inch laptop under 1 kg. ADATA isn't exactly known for its laptops and so we weren't expecting much from its first 14-inch Ultrabook. With that said, we're pleasantly surprised by how well the Xenia 14 looks and performs. Not only is it incredibly light, but it has a color accurate 16:10 display, high CPU and GPU performance, easy RAM and SSD serviceability, plenty of port options including Thunderbolt 4, and long battery life. It packs a lot of punch and features considering the size and weight to be better than even the LG Gram series."
