The Acer Aspire 3 14 with an AMD Ryzen 5 processor generally costs a bit more, offers higher storage capacity, and weighs less, making it more portable and suitable for general use and multitasking. However, the Acer Aspire 3 15, with an AMD Ryzen 3 processor, is usually less expensive and has a larger screen but comes with lower storage capacity and is heavier, which might make it less convenient to carry around. If budget is a concern and a larger screen is preferred, the 15-inch model might be the better choice, while the 14-inch model excels in performance and portability. Give Feedback

The Acer Aspire 3 14 has a better screen than the Acer Aspire 3 15 for content creation.
For general use, both Acer Aspire 3 models provide adequate resolution and brightness, but their panel types don't offer the wide viewing angles and high color accuracy found in pricier options. When it comes to engineering and design, while suitable for entry-level work, their screens lack the wide color gamuts necessary for precision in color-critical tasks. Gamers and 3D designers will find the refresh rate limiting for fluid visuals and may miss the finer details due to the lower resolution and panel type compared to specialized gaming or 3D design laptops.

The Acer Aspire 3 14 and Acer Aspire 3 15 are both poor for gaming and AI.
The Acer Aspire 3 14 and Acer Aspire 3 15 are both considered fair for gaming and 3D because they share the same GPU, which is the AMD Radeon 610M, and both have a screen refresh rate of 60Hz, which is adequate but not ideal for fast-paced gaming. While their CPUs and screen quality are somewhat important, these aspects are less critical compared to the GPU and screen refresh rate, which are the primary factors for gaming and 3D performance.

Although they have very similar scores, PerfectRec considers Acer Aspire 3 14 to be only fair for engineering and design, while the Acer Aspire 3 15 is poor.
The Acer Aspire 3 14, with a newer Ryzen 5 CPU and better graphics capabilities, offers superior performance for engineering and design compared to the Aspire 3 15, which has a Ryzen 3 CPU and less storage; however, both have sufficient RAM and fair screen quality for such tasks. The 14-inch model is more portable due to its lighter weight, while the 15-inch version provides a slightly larger screen with a number pad on the keyboard, which may be beneficial for some users despite being heavier.

How the Acer Aspire 3 14 and the Acer Aspire 3 15 compare to other laptops
Alexander Tozzi, Ryan Lim, and Yannick Khong | March 2023
"The Acer Aspire 3 is okay for school use. It feels reasonably well-built, and it's easy to carry around. The display looks decently sharp and provides plenty of space for multitasking, but it doesn't get bright enough to combat glare. Its Intel Core i3-N305 CPU and integrated graphics can only handle simple tasks, like text processing, web browsing, and video playback, so it isn't ideal for students in more technical fields like 3D graphics. Unfortunately, the battery lasts only around six to seven hours of light use."
