Choosing between the Sony MDR-ZX110 and Turtle Beach Recon 70 depends on your priorities. If budget is your primary concern, the Sony is more wallet-friendly. However, for the best experience during calls and meetings and a higher build quality, Turtle Beach Recon 70 is superior. Gamers will appreciate the Recon 70’s very good gaming score. For everyday music listening, both offer good performance, but the Sony may fall short in comfort. Neither is especially suited for exercise or noise isolation, so for quiet or active environments, you might consider other options. Sony's on-ear, foldable design is more portable, but the Recon 70's over-ear form provides potentially better soundstage and comfort for longer sessions. If mic quality is critical, Turtle Beach stands out with a boom mic compared to Sony's poor mic score. Give Feedback

Audio.org

Audio.org | December 2022
"My opinion about Sony MDR ZX110 is they are the best budget headphones of Sony with top-class sound. Clear vocals, great bass, and balanced sound with low sound distortion. The treble could be sharper, but it's ok. 30 mm neodymium dynamic drivers give clear and precise audio, and an inline remote with a mic give decent call quality. Closed-Back Design also helps to improve sound performance."

Sound Guys

Sam Moore | September 2022
"There aren’t many considerations to make here. The Turtle Beach Recon 70 sounds decent, offers solid chat audio, feels good to wear over long periods, and it works everywhere. If you’re in the market for a simple plug-and-play option, you could do a whole lot worse (and spend a whole lot more money). Regardless, if getting something cheap that works well is the only thing you care about, this is a great option."
