If gaming and having a high-quality microphone are your top priorities, the JBL Quantum 100 with its 'boom' mic and better gaming score would be the better choice despite being more expensive. For general use and a tighter budget, the Sony MDR-ZX110, which is less expensive, would suffice, but it has a lower mic quality and is not as suited for gaming. Neither model supports wireless connectivity, so consider this if cord-free listening is important to you. Both are similar in comfort, with the Quantum 100 being slightly heavier, which may affect long-term wear. Neither earphone is optimized for exercise, travel, or noise isolation, so if those features are essential, you might want to look at other options. Give Feedback

CNN Underscored

Wes Davis | July 2023
"I appreciate a functional piece of tech as much as I do gear on the bleeding edge, and the JBL Quantum 100 certainly falls in the former category. The sound is reasonably good, the built-in microphone is surprisingly reliable and it has a thoughtful design for the price. It lacks the convenience of Bluetooth, sure, but sometimes it’s nice not to have to worry about the finicky nature of wireless communication and go with good old hard-wired tech."

Audio.org | December 2022
"My opinion about Sony MDR ZX110 is they are the best budget headphones of Sony with top-class sound. Clear vocals, great bass, and balanced sound with low sound distortion. The treble could be sharper, but it's ok. 30 mm neodymium dynamic drivers give clear and precise audio, and an inline remote with a mic give decent call quality. Closed-Back Design also helps to improve sound performance."
