If you prioritize sound quality and use headphones mainly for music and calls, consider the Sony Linkbuds; however, if you require a microphone of exceptional quality and headphones that excel in gaming, TV, and video applications, the Turtle Beach Recon 70 is a stronger fit. The Sony Linkbuds offer wireless convenience, better portability, and are sweatproof, making them suitable for exercise, whereas the Recon 70's closed design provides better passive noise isolation and a longer wired connection, which can be crucial for gamers to eliminate latency. Keep in mind the Linkbuds are more expensive, but they provide app customization features that can enhance your listening experience. Give Feedback

Sound Guys

Sam Moore | February 2022
"The Sony LinkBuds is definitely the most unique audio product to release so far in 2022, and it largely executes well on it's unoccluded design. However, it's hamstrung by all the same things as other unsealed earbuds."

Sound Guys

Sam Moore | September 2022
"There aren’t many considerations to make here. The Turtle Beach Recon 70 sounds decent, offers solid chat audio, feels good to wear over long periods, and it works everywhere. If you’re in the market for a simple plug-and-play option, you could do a whole lot worse (and spend a whole lot more money). Regardless, if getting something cheap that works well is the only thing you care about, this is a great option."
