If you're invested in exercise and health tracking, the Sennheiser Momentum Sport would be beneficial due to its heart rate and body temperature features, as well as better sound quality and active noise cancellation for noisy environments. They're also apt for sports with sweat and dust resistance. However, if an open design for ambient awareness is important, especially in outdoor activities or certain work environments, and you're looking to save money, the Sony Linkbuds are a good choice. Keep in mind, the Linkbuds won't isolate noise as well and have poorer audio quality, but they do feature a unique open-ring driver for a different listening experience and are optimized for both Android and Apple devices. How the Sennheiser Momentum Sport and the Sony Linkbuds compare to other earbuds and headphones
"We hadn't been expecting a new pair of dedicated sports buds but the surprise was nonetheless exciting. I got to try out the new buds at CES 2024 and while they have stayed true to delivering that "signature" Sennheiser sound, with a wide soundstage and strong sense of detail, it’s the extra wearable tech inside them that stands out to me against the best workout headphones."
"The Sony LinkBuds is definitely the most unique audio product to release so far in 2022, and it largely executes well on it's unoccluded design. However, it's hamstrung by all the same things as other unsealed earbuds."
