If you prioritize overall sound quality, comfort, and build, along with a good experience for music listening and watching TV, the Rode NTH-100 headphones would suit you better, even though they are more expensive and less portable. The Sony MDREX15AP earbuds are a budget-friendly option, offer a very good level of comfort, and their small size makes them highly portable, making them a better choice for use on the go. However, they may not match the Rode in terms of sound quality and are not suitable for exercise due to the lack of sweatproof certification. If a microphone is important, both have poor mic quality, so neither is ideal for calls or meetings. The Rode NTH-100's closed enclosure provides some noise isolation, but if effective noise cancellation is a priority, note that neither product offers active noise cancelling. Give Feedback

"The NTH-100M is a closed-back headset aimed at professional audiophiles—streamers, podcasters and content creators included—looking for masterful audio and a detachable 'broadcast-grade' microphone."
"At the ultra budget $10 price-point (and we’ve seen the no-mic version go for as cheap as $7), I’d say these are a decent option if you’re looking for a passable pair of earbuds for basic use that’s as cheap as possible. I wouldn’t say they feel or sound as good as some of the ultra-budget alternatives out there – of which there are a few at this point – but some might disagree. I will say though that the cable is a little bit nicer than those of that same competition."
