The JLab JBuds Work Wireless are more versatile with both wireless and wired options, better for calls and meetings with higher microphone quality, and have a significant battery life which makes them suitable for long use. They also score well in comfort, build quality, and controls. On the other hand, the Turtle Beach Recon 70, while less expensive, has excellent mic quality and is highly rated for book/podcast listening experience. However, they are wired, heavier, and may not be as suitable for exercise due to lower comfort and exercise scores. If your budget allows and you value wireless freedom, better build quality, and often participate in calls, JLab may be the better choice, but for mainly listening to content like podcasts with a tighter budget, Turtle Beach could be satisfactory. PC Magazine

Tim Gideon | February 2022
"The JLab JBuds Work is an affordable headset-headphone hybrid that you can use to listen to music in stereo and communicate on video calls thanks to a retractable boom mic, and we particularly like its convenient mono and passive wired modes. You won't find any frills here like you will with the costlier Jabra Evolve2 65 or Plantronics Voyager 4220 UC, but for less than half the price, the JBuds Work is an effective lower-cost alternative."

Sound Guys

Sam Moore | September 2022
"There aren’t many considerations to make here. The Turtle Beach Recon 70 sounds decent, offers solid chat audio, feels good to wear over long periods, and it works everywhere. If you’re in the market for a simple plug-and-play option, you could do a whole lot worse (and spend a whole lot more money). Regardless, if getting something cheap that works well is the only thing you care about, this is a great option."
