If you're on a tight budget, the JBL Quantum 100 offers a very good gaming experience and an exceptional microphone at a budget price, but they are less suitable for uses such as music listening, calls and meetings, and air travel. The Razer Kraken V3, while more expensive, provides better overall sound quality and build quality, with additional features like virtual surround for immersive gaming and video experiences. Neither are ideal for exercise or portable use, and if active noise cancelling or wireless features are important to you, you might want to consider other options, as both of these models lack those features. CNN Underscored

Wes Davis | July 2023
"I appreciate a functional piece of tech as much as I do gear on the bleeding edge, and the JBL Quantum 100 certainly falls in the former category. The sound is reasonably good, the built-in microphone is surprisingly reliable and it has a thoughtful design for the price. It lacks the convenience of Bluetooth, sure, but sometimes it’s nice not to have to worry about the finicky nature of wireless communication and go with good old hard-wired tech."

Soundguys

Sam Smart | November 2022
"This Razer Kraken V3 is a great headset for gamers who want comfort, surround sound, and software customization for a reasonable price. It's primarily a headset for PC gamers since THX Spatial audio is only supported on Windows. If you want something more multifaceted for multiple systems, this won't be an ideal headset for you. Luckily, there are plenty of competent Kraken V3 alternatives available to you."
