If you're on a budget and mostly gaming, the JBL Quantum 100 would be a more cost-effective choice with good sound quality and a microphone for in-game communication. However, for on-the-go listening and convenience, Raycon The Everyday Earbuds offer a wireless experience with a more discreet look and portability, though they come at a higher price. The JBLs are likely bulkier as they are headphones, but they provide more immersive gaming and movie experiences, whereas the Raycons are better for an active lifestyle and casual listening without wires getting in the way. "I appreciate a functional piece of tech as much as I do gear on the bleeding edge, and the JBL Quantum 100 certainly falls in the former category. The sound is reasonably good, the built-in microphone is surprisingly reliable and it has a thoughtful design for the price. It lacks the convenience of Bluetooth, sure, but sometimes it’s nice not to have to worry about the finicky nature of wireless communication and go with good old hard-wired tech."
"Sure, every influencer owns these buds. They’re still pretty good. In this price range, getting anything that seals well in your ears for good soundstage, doesn’t sound like trash, and won’t immediately break is a huge win. The Everyday Buds tick all of those boxes for me, and I intend to use them at least nearly every day; I go to the gym on alternating evenings. Damn it, YouTube. You've cost me good money again."
