For immersive listening and travel, JBL Live 770NC headphones excel with good noise isolation, active noise cancelling, and excellent battery life, making them better suited for air travel. They have built-in controls, a foldable design, and an app with equalizer settings for a customizable experience but are less ideal for calls or gaming due to poor scores in those areas. The Sony Linkbuds, while more expensive, offer unique features such as an open-ring driver for awareness of surroundings and better portability due to their small size. They are optimized for both Android and Apple devices, sweatproof, and have a quick charging time which makes them a better fit for exercise and daily commutes. However, they lack noise cancellation which can be a downside for noisy environments. If call quality, portability, and exercise use are priorities, Sony Linkbuds could be the better fit, but for long duration use and noise cancellation, JBL Live 770NC holds an advantage. "The Sony LinkBuds is definitely the most unique audio product to release so far in 2022, and it largely executes well on it's unoccluded design. However, it's hamstrung by all the same things as other unsealed earbuds."
