If you prioritize noise cancellation and comfortable over-ear wear for long flights or commutes, the JBL Live 770NC with active noise cancelling is suitable, but they're less portable and pricier. The Skullcandy Dime 2 earbuds are far more budget-friendly and compact, ideal for portability and exercise, though they lack noise cancellation and are not the best choice for immersive sound experiences or clear calls. If gaming or watching TV is important, both have poor scores in those areas; if sound quality for music is key, JBL may be your choice, but for a tight budget and on-the-go use, consider Skullcandy. "With the low price, it’s a low-risk investment. The Dime 2 is a decent set of backup buds for those times when you don’t want to risk your more upscale buds. If it weren’t for the lackluster battery life, I’d say everyone should have a pair as a spare for music."
