The HifiMan Edition XS is a premium choice with excellent overall sound quality and soundstage rendering it great for immersive music experiences and TV, however, it's less suitable for exercise and doesn't have a microphone for calls. On the other hand, the JBL Quantum 100 is more budget-friendly, has a very good microphone, and better scores for gaming and podcasts, but offers less impressive sound quality and soundstage, and lacks active noise cancelling. Choose the HifiMan Edition XS for top-tier audio performance in quieter environments or the JBL Quantum 100 for a versatile and cost-effective option suitable for gaming and communication. Eric D Hieger | January 2023
"The Edition XS easily compete with headphones in their price range with a very high price-to-performance ratio. The XS are an amazing value and offer performance not far off from headphones more than twice their cost. These will be a mind-blowing revelation for enthusiasts and music lovers who have only heard standard big-brand mainstream headphones."

CNN Underscored

Wes Davis | July 2023
"I appreciate a functional piece of tech as much as I do gear on the bleeding edge, and the JBL Quantum 100 certainly falls in the former category. The sound is reasonably good, the built-in microphone is surprisingly reliable and it has a thoughtful design for the price. It lacks the convenience of Bluetooth, sure, but sometimes it’s nice not to have to worry about the finicky nature of wireless communication and go with good old hard-wired tech."
