Beats Studiobuds offer a higher overall sound quality, are wireless, and have active noise cancelling which makes them suitable for use during exercise, travel, and general portability with a good battery life. They are designed for both Android and Apple devices, with AAC codec support for better sound quality on Apple devices, but they are less suitable for gaming and TV due to latency. JBL Quantum 100 headphones, on the other hand, provide a superior gaming experience with virtual surround sound and better microphone quality, but are wired, less portable, offer lower overall sound quality and are not as comfortable for long wear. If you prioritize sound quality and wireless convenience for exercise or travel, and primarily use an Apple device, the Beats may justify the higher price. If gaming is your focus and you're looking for a budget-friendly option with a great mic and virtual surround, consider the JBL Quantum 100. Give Feedback

Sound Guys

Chase Bernath | May 2023
"For less than the price of the AirPods, the Beats Studio Buds delivers a good fit, great sound, and active noise cancellation. This is also the first set of Apple-owned Beats earbuds to feature quick pairing with Android devices, albeit at the expense of some key features for Apple users."

CNN Underscored

Wes Davis | July 2023
"I appreciate a functional piece of tech as much as I do gear on the bleeding edge, and the JBL Quantum 100 certainly falls in the former category. The sound is reasonably good, the built-in microphone is surprisingly reliable and it has a thoughtful design for the price. It lacks the convenience of Bluetooth, sure, but sometimes it’s nice not to have to worry about the finicky nature of wireless communication and go with good old hard-wired tech."
