If you prioritize sound quality, especially for music listening, and don't mind a wired connection, the Audio Technica M50x offers very good acoustic performance with a robust build but lacks a microphone for calls. However, it may not be the best for exercising due to its size and lack of sweatproof features. Conversely, Creative Labs Zen Air earbuds are more budget-friendly, good for portability, and are better suited for use during exercise, thanks to their sweatproof design. They also provide wireless convenience with good mic quality for calls, but they don’t match the M50x in terms of overall sound quality and may not be ideal for critical listening sessions. Sound Guys

Jasper Lastoria | October 2022
"Good sound is timeless. It doesn’t matter that a number of years have passed since the ATH-M50x came out because it still works well. Since this wired headset doesn’t rely on batteries or Bluetooth technology, it’s bound to outlast its wireless counterparts. The no-nonsense performance, fit, and comfort of the Audio-Technica ATH-M50x make it worth picking up."

Headphone Check

Maike Paeßens | February 2023
"The Creative Zen Air’s weak points are its low battery life and rather short Bluetooth range. On the other hand, the strengths of these weatherproof True Wireless in-Ears are the sound and the wide attenuation of the Active Noise Cancellation. Considering the price range, the speech intelligibility during calls is also exceptionally good."

They started off making phonograph cartridges and have expanded their scope of products ever since to include extremely popular models of microphones and headphones. They have been the official audio equipment supplier of several editions of the Summer and Winter Olympics and every edition of the Grammy Awards since 1998.

About Creative Labs

Creative Labs is a Singaporean technology company specialized in the manufacture of multimedia products. Nowadays, besides still marketing their discrete audio systems, they offer a wide array of headphones, gaming headsets and speakers that still preserve that same heritage.
