The Audio Technica ATH M20X could be the preferred choice if you're looking for a budget-friendly option with higher sound quality for music listening, and you don't mind a wired connection. They're over-ear headphones providing a better soundstage, but they're not as comfortable for long sessions. On the other hand, the Soundcore Space A40 earbuds offer wireless convenience, effective noise isolation, and are great for air travel with a long battery life, though they're often somewhat more expensive. For calls and gaming however, the A40's are not as strong performers and they're also not optimized for TV and video due to possible audio latency. Give Feedback

Soundguys

Jasper Lastoria | September 2023
"Audio-Technica positively defies what you can expect for around $50. Ultimately, Audio-Technica did not design the ATH-M20x to go on the subway with you. It’s for the budget-conscious, do-it-yourself producer, podcaster, or studio that needs to buy tracking cans in bulk. If you don’t need the most deluxe, comfortable headphones, maybe you’ll like the ATH-M20x for its spartan functionality. The headphones are aimed at giving you the minimum requirements without it feeling like a sacrifice."

"The Anker Soundcore Space A40 is an excellent deal if you want affordable noise canceling earbuds with great sound. The baseline frequency response is enjoyable, and the many EQ presets to choose from plus the ability to customize your sound profile makes it good for pretty much anyone. The noise canceling is quite good, and the many ear tips to choose from ensure a good fit for the noise canceling and isolation to do its job."
