The Audio Technica ATH M20X headphones are better suited for studio work and casual listening with their over-ear design providing good isolation and nuanced sound; however, they're bulkier and less portable. The Koss KSC75, on the other hand, offers a clip-on design that's more convenient for active use or commuting but may lack the sound isolation and bass response the M20X provides. The ATH M20X's higher price reflects its professional studio quality, so if you're looking for detailed sound for music production, it's the better choice, but for on-the-go listening where convenience and affordability are key, the KSC75 is a compelling option. "Audio-Technica positively defies what you can expect for around $50. Ultimately, Audio-Technica did not design the ATH-M20x to go on the subway with you. It’s for the budget-conscious, do-it-yourself producer, podcaster, or studio that needs to buy tracking cans in bulk. If you don’t need the most deluxe, comfortable headphones, maybe you’ll like the ATH-M20x for its spartan functionality. The headphones are aimed at giving you the minimum requirements without it feeling like a sacrifice."
"Let’s not insult the KSC75 by saying that it’s simply good for the price… because it’s far more than that. It basically has a monopoly at its asking price, and could still give modern budget headphones a run for their money 15 years after its release. The KSC75 is the world’s best not-headphone."
