The Audio Technica ATH M20X offers superior sound quality and is better suited for music listening at home, but lacks a microphone for calls. JLab Go Work Wireless, while slightly lower in overall sound quality, has high mic quality, superior comfort, and a strong build, making it ideal for calls, meetings, and prolonged use. Both are closed-back and wired, but the JLab also features wireless connectivity. The ATH M20X is less portable and has lower suitability for exercise and air travel, where the JLab excels with higher scores in portability and use during exercise, despite minimal noise isolation. "Audio-Technica positively defies what you can expect for around $50. Ultimately, Audio-Technica did not design the ATH-M20x to go on the subway with you. It’s for the budget-conscious, do-it-yourself producer, podcaster, or studio that needs to buy tracking cans in bulk. If you don’t need the most deluxe, comfortable headphones, maybe you’ll like the ATH-M20x for its spartan functionality. The headphones are aimed at giving you the minimum requirements without it feeling like a sacrifice."
"If you are going to criticise the JLab Go Work, it would be for the cables, which are to some extent too short for their intended use, and for its rather harsh treble reproduction above moderate volume levels in music mode. However, the call quality during telephone calls and video conferences in voice mode via wireless and via cable is impeccable. This handy Bluetooth headset also scores points with its excellent battery life and support for multipoint connections."
