The Audio Technica ATH M20X, being significantly less expensive than the Beyerdynamic 770 Pro (80 ohm), could be suitable for a tight budget while providing a good overall sound quality. However, the Beyerdynamic 770 Pro is known for better comfort and higher build quality, which might justify its higher price if you value prolonged usage and durability. Neither model has a built-in microphone, so if you need to make calls or attend meetings, consider a separate mic. Both are wired and provide good noise isolation, though neither supports active noise cancelling. The Beyerdynamic also offers a slightly better experience for TV and video, so if that's a priority, you may find its price premium worthwhile. Give Feedback

Soundguys

Jasper Lastoria | September 2023
"Audio-Technica positively defies what you can expect for around $50. Ultimately, Audio-Technica did not design the ATH-M20x to go on the subway with you. It’s for the budget-conscious, do-it-yourself producer, podcaster, or studio that needs to buy tracking cans in bulk. If you don’t need the most deluxe, comfortable headphones, maybe you’ll like the ATH-M20x for its spartan functionality. The headphones are aimed at giving you the minimum requirements without it feeling like a sacrifice."

"Altogether, when you consider its accessible price tag, the performance, the build, and its outstanding comfort, I think that the DT770 Pro is fantastic option for anyone looking for a closed-back headphone in the sub-$1,000 range, and I can confidently give it a strong recommendation."
