If budget is a primary concern and you primarily listen to music or watch TV at home, the Audio Technica ATH M20X headphones are a sound choice; they offer very good overall sound quality and are especially suitable for stationary use given their wired connection. However, they are not designed for comfort during extended use, have no built-in controls, and are not ideal for exercise or travel due to their size and lack of portability. In contrast, the Audio Technica ATH-TWX7 earbuds are more expensive, but they offer versatility with wireless connectivity, an excellent calls and meetings performance, and come with active noise cancelling. They are also sweatproof and feature an app with customizable controls, making them better suited for on-the-go use, exercise, travel, and various types of audio content. If a microphone and virtual surround are essential features for you, be aware that the M20X lacks these while the ATH-TWX7 includes an integrated microphone but no virtual surround. Give Feedback

"Audio-Technica positively defies what you can expect for around $50. Ultimately, Audio-Technica did not design the ATH-M20x to go on the subway with you. It’s for the budget-conscious, do-it-yourself producer, podcaster, or studio that needs to buy tracking cans in bulk. If you don’t need the most deluxe, comfortable headphones, maybe you’ll like the ATH-M20x for its spartan functionality. The headphones are aimed at giving you the minimum requirements without it feeling like a sacrifice."
"There’s plenty to like about the ATH-TWX7. A robust set of features brings a lot of convenience to your day. But a few of those tools could still use some fine-tuning and the lack of automatic pausing in 2024 is a head scratcher. Still, the audio is mostly good, and transparency mode is better than most. Add in the solid call quality and the in-app voice test and the ATH-TWX7 are a worthy consideration, especially at this price. Too bad it falls short of being a more complete package some of the competition offers for a slightly larger investment."
