If you're seeking top-notch sound quality for music and TV with a spacious soundstage, the AKG K712 Pro would be your pick, but they're pricey, open-back for at-home use, lack built-in controls, and would benefit from an amplifier. For a budget-friendly option great for on-the-go listening with a closed design for better noise isolation, consider the Sony MDREX15AP; however, they have lower overall sound quality and might not be the best for critical listening or gaming. The AKGs are not suited for exercise or travel due to their size and open design, while the Sonys offer better portability and fit for active uses. Give Feedback

"AKG has created a mini-masterpiece in my opinion. I enjoy this headphone a great deal and it will become my go-to reference headphone for the time being. She is slick, sexy, well-balanced, and crazy comfortable."
"At the ultra budget $10 price-point (and we’ve seen the no-mic version go for as cheap as $7), I’d say these are a decent option if you’re looking for a passable pair of earbuds for basic use that’s as cheap as possible. I wouldn’t say they feel or sound as good as some of the ultra-budget alternatives out there – of which there are a few at this point – but some might disagree. I will say though that the cable is a little bit nicer than those of that same competition."
