If you're on a strict budget and need a TV essentially for dark-room viewing like watching movies, the TCL S450F could be suitable due to its excellent black uniformity. However, if your budget can stretch to a higher cost, the TCL S555 offers better overall picture quality, including in bright rooms, higher performance for movies, series, and animation content, and better sound quality. While both models struggle with gaming and sports content due to their fair ratings in those areas, the S555's very good rating for cartoons and animation suggests it's a stronger performer for family content. Keep in mind that both TVs have limited viewing angles and may not be the best for wide seating arrangements.
