For general use, the TCL R655 performs slightly better in bright rooms and offers a superior gaming experience with its higher refresh rate. However, the Vizio P-Series excels in black uniformity, which can be a plus for darker viewing environments. Both TVs have solid overall picture quality for watching movies and series, but if sound is a significant concern, the Vizio has a more powerful speaker setup. Choose the TCL if gaming is a priority and you have lots of natural light in your room; opt for the Vizio if better sound and dark room performance are more important for your viewing experience. Both are priced similarly, so make your decision based on these feature priorities. Give Feedback

The TCL R655 (LCD) and Vizio P-Series (LCD) are both very good for cartoons & animation.
The TCL R655 shows impressive colors straight out of the box and has a good color volume, meaning it can display a wide range of colors at different luminance levels, which is ideal for vibrant cartoons and animations. On the other hand, the Vizio P-Series delivers a very good color gamut, ensuring it can produce a broad spectrum of colors, although its color volume isn't as strong as the TCL's, possibly leading to slight constraints in displaying the full intensity of colors across various shades.

How the TCL R655 (LCD) and the Vizio P-Series (LCD) compare to other TVs
"It has an excellent Roku interface, isn’t too expensive, has quantum dots and mini LED backlighting, and looks genuinely fantastic playing everything. If you’re in the market for a new TV, you should still start here. Gamers will like that it has a 120-Hz refresh rate at 4K, which is the maximum that a modern Xbox or Playstation 5 will put out—meaning the smoothest possible gaming and sports viewing in general. We’re no longer in the days of having to spend over $1,000 and spending a few hours on setup for decent black levels and great color accuracy and HDR"
"We were even more pleased to see that performance had improved across the board, with the display offering better color, brightness, and shorter lag times than the already excellent Roku model. Color accuracy was great right out of the box. The TCL 5-Series Google TV becomes a great option for demanding gamers."

About TCL
TCL, the highly recognizable TV brand from China, has firmly established itself as the second-largest manufacturer in terms of sales volume. Renowned for striking an impressive balance between affordability, picture quality, and design, TCL TVs deliver a compelling overall package. While they have traditionally excelled in the low-end and midrange TV segments, TCL has recently made remarkable strides in the realm of high-end televisions, introducing impressive models that rival top competitors. Most TCL TVs use Roku software which is very user friendly and easy to use, but they have a few other models that use Google TV which has the largest app selection, but is not as user friendly as Roku.
About Vizio
Vizio is an American company. While they initially gained recognition for offering budget-friendly TVs, they have successfully expanded their product lineup to include high-end options as well. They manufacture TVs primarily in Mexico, China, and Vietnam. Similar to many Korean TV brands, Vizio developed its own smart TV software called SmartCast. In the past, SmartCast was not the best smart TV software, but it has evolved so that it is now good for using your TV and connecting to streaming services.
