The Sony A90J offers superior overall picture quality, better performance for gaming, sports, and movie watching and is excellent for use in dark rooms. It also has better sound quality with great speakers included. However, it comes at a high-end price and isn't as bright for daytime viewing in sunny rooms. The TCL S446 is much more affordable and decent for news, talk shows, and animation. It also has low input lag for gaming. However, it lacks local dimming, has lower picture and sound quality, and performs worse in dark rooms. It is suitable for bright rooms though not as good as the Sony. If budget isn't a concern and you want top-notch quality for various content, especially in dark rooms, go for the Sony A90J.
