Choose the Sony A90J if you prioritize excellent picture quality in dark rooms, superior contrast, and wide viewing angles, which is particularly important for movies and series watching. It's an OLED TV, so it offers deep blacks and vibrant colors, but is pricier and may not be as bright in well-lit rooms. The Sony X90K, an LCD TV, might be a better budget-friendly option with good performance in both dark and bright rooms. It's quite versatile for various content like sports, news, and gaming, and its brightness is more consistent in well-lit environments. However, its contrast and viewing angle may not match the A90J. Both support gaming features and have great upscaling for lower resolution content. Give Feedback

Simon Lucas | June 2021
"In every meaningful department – motion control, contrast, edge definition, detail levels, you name it the A90J puts in a memorably accomplished shift. In fact, the Sony proves outstanding at handling on-screen motion of any and every kind. By the standards of television audio systems, the A90J is a notably punchy and genuinely dynamic performer."

Techradar

Al Griffin | December 2022
"As Sony’s next-to-flagship LCD TV, the X90K series delivers impressive performance for the price. The XR90K had fairly accurate out-of-box color. The TV’s multi-position stand lets you either set the screen flush with any stand its mounted on or elevate it to clear space for a soundbar. With the latter option, you get around 3 inches of clearance enough to accommodate most soundbars. The X90K’s excellent suite of gaming features ranks it up there with the best 120 Hz 4K TVs."
