The Sony A80K (OLED) comes at a premium price and excels in picture quality with higher contrast and better performance in both dark and bright rooms. It has superior viewing angles and reflections handling. The OLED screen type also typically offers more vibrant colors and deeper blacks. This TV is well-suited for movie enthusiasts and gamers. On the other hand, the Sony X90K (LCD) is less expensive and still provides good picture quality. It offers better brightness in standard dynamic range content and has a decent overall performance. If you are budget-conscious and need a more balanced TV for a variety of uses, including watching news and sports, consider the X90K. Give Feedback

USA Today

Michael Desjardin | December 2022
"It’s a high-end TV through and through something that becomes clear the moment you glance at its stunning picture. The A80K’s surgically precise contrast control is likely the first thing you’ll notice about its picture ... every piece of content looks better when this amount of precision is available. Color accuracy is another strong suit; the A80K features fantastic out-of-the-box color accuracy in the Custom picture mode."

Techradar

Al Griffin | December 2022
"As Sony’s next-to-flagship LCD TV, the X90K series delivers impressive performance for the price. The XR90K had fairly accurate out-of-box color. The TV’s multi-position stand lets you either set the screen flush with any stand its mounted on or elevate it to clear space for a soundbar. With the latter option, you get around 3 inches of clearance enough to accommodate most soundbars. The X90K’s excellent suite of gaming features ranks it up there with the best 120 Hz 4K TVs."
