If you're on a tight budget, the TCL S350G would save you money and is a basic option for casual viewing, but its overall performance across various content like movies, sports, and in different lighting conditions is not impressive. The Samsung CU7000, while usually more expensive, offers better picture quality, has a higher reliability due to a very good QC/QA score, and is more versatile for different types of content with particularly good performance as a computer monitor, but still struggles in bright rooms. Neither model is ideal for serious gaming or in very bright rooms, and while both support HDR, only the Samsung supports a wider range of HDR formats which can enhance your viewing experience if you watch diverse content.
