The Samsung QN90B is a premium-priced TV that performs exceptionally well in bright rooms, making it a great choice if you often watch TV during the day or have lots of windows. It offers superior contrast and brightness, enhanced gaming experiences, and is equipped with speakers that support Dolby Atmos for immersive sound. On the other hand, the Sony X85J comes at an upper-midrange price and while it performs decently in bright conditions, it's not on par with the Samsung in this regard. However, for watching movies and sports, it still offers good performance and great upscaling for lower resolution content. It is also capable of handling reflections well, which is beneficial in bright rooms. The Sony X85J does not include built-in Dolby Atmos support and has a less striking contrast compared to the Samsung QN90B. If you prioritize a high-quality viewing experience and gaming and are willing to pay for premium features, the Samsung QN90B is the better option. If you are more price-sensitive but still want a solid all-around TV for various types of content, the Sony X85J could be more suitable. Give Feedback

USA Today

Michael Desjardin | October 2022
"The QN90B delivers one of the brightest pictures we’ve ever seen, showcasing HDR content better than just about every LCD/LED TV on the market. If all you’re planning on doing is watching cable TV, broadcast channels, and a fair share of streaming shows or movies, the QN90B is sure to impress. All four of the QN90B’s HDMI 2.1 ports support 4K gaming at 120fps a centerpiece feature of the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5."
