If you're looking for superior overall picture quality with excellent performance in both movies and gaming, and if an immersive viewing experience in dark rooms is important to you, then the Sony A90K might be the right choice despite its higher price. It also offers the best contrast and black uniformity, which is particularly beneficial for watching content with dark scenes. However, if you're on a budget and price is a significant concern, the Samsung Q80B offers good performance at a much lower cost. The Q80B will not match the Sony in picture quality in darker settings but does provide better brightness in standard dynamic range content, which could be beneficial for daytime viewing in brighter rooms.
