If your priority is to save money and you mainly watch news, talk shows, reality TV, or cartoons and animations in a bright room, the Samsung Q60A could suit your needs with good performance in these areas. However, it's not the best for gaming, sports, or as a computer monitor, and if you frequently watch content in a dark room, its performance is just fair. For a better gaming and sports viewing experience, as well as improved motion processing and upscaling, with the flexibility to use it as a monitor, the Sony X85J at a higher price might be worth the investment. Both TVs support HDR content, but the Sony also has Dolby Vision, which can enhance picture quality for compatible content, and a higher speaker power but without great speakers built-in.
