The LG C2 offers a slightly better overall picture quality, gaming experience, and performs well in both dark and bright rooms, but it is particularly strong in gaming due to its low input lag and quick response time. Its sound quality is also good, but not as powerful as the Sony A80K. The Sony A80K, while offering similar picture quality for movies and sports, has a slightly higher quality control score, suggesting it might have fewer defects or issues over time. However, its performance in bright rooms is not as good as the LG C2, and the gaming experience is marginally less responsive. Both TVs are excellent but if gaming is a priority and you often watch in a bright room, the LG C2 may be a better fit. If sound is essential and you value long-term reliability, the Sony A80K could be your choice. Keep in mind that both are premium-priced and offer similar support for HDR formats. Give Feedback

CNET

David Katzmaier | November 2022
"The C2 offers image quality that's a clear step above any non-OLED TV I've seen. The C2 is rare among high-end TVs in that all four of its HDMI ports support 4K/120, great for hard-core gamers with multiple next-gen devices. The C2 is plenty bright enough for just about any viewing environment. It also outperforms QLED TVs like the Samsung QN90B and TCL 6-Series. That's why I consider the LG C2 the best high-end TV for the money of 2022."

USA Today

Michael Desjardin | December 2022
"It’s a high-end TV through and through something that becomes clear the moment you glance at its stunning picture. The A80K’s surgically precise contrast control is likely the first thing you’ll notice about its picture ... every piece of content looks better when this amount of precision is available. Color accuracy is another strong suit; the A80K features fantastic out-of-the-box color accuracy in the Custom picture mode."
