The LG G1 offers exceptional performance for gaming and movies in darker rooms due to its high contrast and excellent dark room performance. However, compared to the Samsung S95C, the G1 falls a little short in bright room environments and HDR brightness. The Samsung S95C, being a newer model, has the edge in overall picture quality, sporting superior brightness which makes it stand out in bright rooms, and offers outstanding color performance right out of the box. It's also slightly better for gaming, with a faster response time and support for a higher refresh rate. Both are pricewise in the high-end bracket, with the LG G1 often being slightly more expensive.
