The LG C2 OLED offers a premium viewing experience, ideal for movies and gaming, with exceptional contrast and perfect blacks, which is beneficial in dark rooms. The C2 also boasts wider viewing angles and better reflection handling, making it a solid option if your room varies in brightness throughout the day. However, this comes at a premium price. The Sony X77L LCD is much more budget-friendly and still provides a good picture quality for sports and casual viewing. It's less suited for dark room viewing due to lower contrast and black uniformity. If a sunny room is your main viewing area, the LG C2 has better reflection handling but still might not be as bright as some LCD options. In summary, if high picture quality and gaming are priorities and you're willing to invest more, the LG C2 should be your choice. If you're looking for a more affordable TV for general, everyday use with decent overall performance, the Sony X77L could serve you well. Give Feedback

CNET

David Katzmaier | November 2022
"The C2 offers image quality that's a clear step above any non-OLED TV I've seen. The C2 is rare among high-end TVs in that all four of its HDMI ports support 4K/120, great for hard-core gamers with multiple next-gen devices. The C2 is plenty bright enough for just about any viewing environment. It also outperforms QLED TVs like the Samsung QN90B and TCL 6-Series. That's why I consider the LG C2 the best high-end TV for the money of 2022."

Milton Clark | September 2023
"For an entry-level model, Sony’s X77L is a decent 4K TV. It’s color reproduction, along with crisp and clean picture images revealed plenty of detail and clarity thanks in part to Sony’s excellent video processing."
