If budget is your primary concern, the Samsung N5300 is an affordable choice, but it offers poor overall picture quality and may not be suitable for dark room viewing or gaming. The LG G1, on the other hand, has superior picture quality, excellent performance for movies, sports, gaming and comes as an OLED which offers better contrast and darker blacks, suitable for both dark and well-lit rooms. However, it comes at a premium price. If picture quality and performance are paramount and within your budget, the LG G1 would be the better choice, otherwise, for more casual viewing or if cost is a deciding factor, the Samsung N5300 could suffice.
