The LG UR9000 is more affordable and provides decent performance for sports content and as a PC monitor. However, its performance in dark rooms and overall picture quality isn't great. On the other hand, the LG G1, being pricier, offers superior picture quality, dark room performance, and is excellent for a variety of content, including movies and gaming. It's also better equipped for bright room viewing. If budget is a concern and you mostly watch sports or use it as a PC monitor, the UR9000 is suitable.
