If you want excellent picture quality and are looking for a TV that performs well in darker rooms, the LG A2, an OLED TV, will provide you with deep blacks and great dark room performance. It is priced on the higher end, in line with its overall superior picture quality and viewing experience for movies and series. However, keep in mind that it might not be the best option if you have a bright room, as its brightness is not as high. On the other hand, if you're on a budget and want a TV that offers a good bright-room viewing experience, the TCL Q6, an LCD TV, could be a more economical choice. It's also a newer model. While it has higher brightness than the LG A2, its overall picture quality and performance in dark rooms aren't as good. Both TVs support popular HDR formats like Dolby Vision and HLG. Images had the deep blacks and detailed shadows typical of the best 4K TVs, while colors looked both fully saturated and clean.
