If excellent picture quality for movies and series is a priority, and you're okay with a higher price, the LG A2 OLED is a superior choice due to its deep blacks and contrast. It's also better for watching in dark rooms. However, if you're looking for a more budget-friendly option, the Sony X77L LCD will save you money and still provide a satisfactory experience for news and animated content. The Sony may also fare slightly better in brightly lit rooms, but the LG isn't far behind. For gaming, the LG offers a more responsive experience with lower input lag. Audio is comparable on both TVs. Give Feedback

Techradar

Al Griffin | August 2022
"Movie fans will find a lot here to love, and the A2 series’ low prices compared with other OLED TVs will keep their wallets happy. Images had the deep blacks and detailed shadows typical of the best 4K TVs, while colors looked both fully saturated and clean. Also, the A2’s out-of-box picture performance in Filmmaker mode was mostly accurate, requiring only slight adjustments to optimize brightness, color, and contrast."

Milton Clark | September 2023
"For an entry-level model, Sony’s X77L is a decent 4K TV. It’s color reproduction, along with crisp and clean picture images revealed plenty of detail and clarity thanks in part to Sony’s excellent video processing."
