If you're on a tight budget and looking for a TV for casual viewing in smaller rooms or gaming where you don't need the lowest input lag, the Vizio D-Series (LCD) could be suitable for you, especially if you won't be bothered by its limitations in a bright room and lower picture quality. On the other hand, if you desire superior picture quality, especially for watching movies and sports or gaming at a higher level, and can spend more, the LG A2 (OLED) offers excellent performance across the board, with particularly impressive dark room performance and wide viewing angles. The LG A2 also supports advanced HDR formats that the Vizio does not, which could enhance your movie-watching experience significantly, provided the content is available. Keep in mind, the OLED technology of the LG A2 is prone to risks like burn-in, which might not be ideal if static images are displayed for prolonged periods. Give Feedback

Techradar

Al Griffin | August 2022
"Movie fans will find a lot here to love, and the A2 series’ low prices compared with other OLED TVs will keep their wallets happy. Images had the deep blacks and detailed shadows typical of the best 4K TVs, while colors looked both fully saturated and clean. Also, the A2’s out-of-box picture performance in Filmmaker mode was mostly accurate, requiring only slight adjustments to optimize brightness, color, and contrast."

Techradar

Nick Pino | July 2021
"A Full HD TV that has the wits of most 4K TVs at a bottom-barrel price point. It has decent black levels thanks to its full array lighting and the above-par brightness will surprise you. Compared to the competition, the Vizio D-Series is probably the most affordable TV out there from a reputable manufacturer which makes it compelling."

About LG

LG, a prominent TV brand from Korea, has played a significant role in popularizing OLED TVs. OLED technology is hailed as the future of TV technology. Their TVs employ WebOS, a proprietary smart TV software that not only offers seamless functionality but also includes gaming-specific features, earning praise from players worldwide. Often regarded as the gateway to unparalleled viewing experiences, LG's mid-range OLEDs come highly recommended, making them a worthwhile investment for those willing to stretch their budget for superior quality.

About Vizio

Vizio is an American company. While they initially gained recognition for offering budget-friendly TVs, they have successfully expanded their product lineup to include high-end options as well. They manufacture TVs primarily in Mexico, China, and Vietnam. Similar to many Korean TV brands, Vizio developed its own smart TV software called SmartCast. In the past, SmartCast was not the best smart TV software, but it has evolved so that it is now good for using your TV and connecting to streaming services.
