The Insignia F20 2024 is a budget-friendly choice if you're looking to save money, however, it has poor performance across most content types including movies, sports, and gaming, and is not ideal for either dark or bright rooms. The Sony X85K costs more but offers good picture quality, performs well for gaming and sports, and handles bright room conditions better. If sound matters to you, the Sony also has better speakers. For gaming or watching HDR content, the Sony supports advanced formats and has a higher refresh rate which is better for fast-moving scenes, but neither TV is particularly well-suited for use as a monitor.
