If you're on a tight budget and need a smaller screen, the Insignia F20 2024 might suffice, but its overall picture quality, particularly in bright rooms and for content like sports and gaming, is poor. The LG A2 OLED, while at a higher price point, offers significantly better quality across the board, with excellent performance in dark rooms, very good for movies, sports, and gaming, and good in bright rooms. Due to its OLED technology, it has superior contrast and viewing angles, making it a superior choice for a premium viewing experience. If quality is a priority and you're willing to invest more, the LG A2 OLED would be the better choice. Keep in mind the Insignia F20 2024 has no HDR support and is less suitable for high-quality content or as a computer monitor, whereas the LG A2 supports various HDR formats including Dolby Vision, which enhances the viewing experience for compatible content. Images had the deep blacks and detailed shadows typical of the best 4K TVs, while colors looked both fully saturated and clean. Also, the A2’s out-of-box picture performance in Filmmaker mode was mostly accurate, requiring only slight adjustments to optimize brightness, color, and contrast."
