The Hisense U7H generally outperforms the Samsung Q60C in most categories such as overall picture quality, gaming, and dark room performance. It is slightly less expensive, has better motion processing, and supports high dynamic range (HDR) formats like HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and HLG. If you enjoy gaming or watching movies in darker environments and appreciate a better picture and motion quality, the Hisense U7H is a strong option. Conversely, while the Samsung Q60C has a slightly higher price, it offers better quality control and supports voice commands for accessibility. If you place a higher value on manufacturing quality, brand reliability, and you use your TV for casual viewing in rooms with variable lighting, you might prefer the Samsung Q60C. However, note that its performance across key areas like picture quality and gaming is not as strong as the Hisense U7H. Give Feedback

Tom's guide

Christian de Looper | December 2022
"We loved the Hisense U7H. It was able to deliver an excellent all-around image quality in its price range. The TV excels at controlling its backlighting in a way that ensures you’ll never experience blooming to a level of being distracting, something that I was a little surprised to see given the lack of Mini LED. The TV doesn’t just get decently bright it offers relatively accurate color reproduction for a TV in this price range. The TV is being billed excellent for gaming."

About Hisense

Hisense, a Chinese TV manufacturer, entered the US market in approximately 2011 and has since acquired TV divisions from various companies such as Toshiba, Sharp, Hitachi, and NEC. Currently ranking as the fourth largest vendor in terms of sales volume, Hisense aims to capture a wide range of TV budget segments. They offer exceptional value with TVs that often outperform their competitors at similar price points, making them a compelling choice for consumers. In the US, they use Google TV as their smart TV software which provides the largest app selection and a very modern user interface, however it is not as user friendly as the software from other vendors.

About Samsung

Samsung, a South Korean electronics manufacturer, holds the title of being the largest global TV vendor in terms of units sold. They offer a diverse lineup of TV products that cater to various budget ranges. A notable achievement in recent years is the development of Quantum Dots, a technology that enhances color reproduction, resulting in richer and more vibrant hues. Samsung TVs are well-regarded for their high manufacturing quality and user-friendly software, making them an excellent choice for consumers seeking an intuitive viewing experience.
