The Hisense U7H comes at a lower midrange price and offers great value, particularly for gaming due to its low input lag and good response time. It's suited for use in both dark and bright rooms, although its bright room performance isn't as strong as the Samsung QN95B. On the other side, the Samsung QN95B is priced in the upper midrange but commands that price with superior performance in bright rooms and overall picture quality. It has better reflection handling and a higher brightness level, making it ideal for well-lit environments. It offers excellent motion processing and is also a strong contender for gaming. If budget is a main concern and you are looking for a balance between gaming and watching TV shows or movies in varying lighting conditions, then the Hisense U7H would be a compelling choice. However, if you're willing to invest in higher quality, especially for watching sports and use in bright rooms, the Samsung QN95B would be the better option. Keep in mind, the Samsung has an advantage with better audio quality if you don't plan to use an external sound system. Give Feedback

Tom's guide

Christian de Looper | December 2022
"We loved the Hisense U7H. It was able to deliver an excellent all-around image quality in its price range. The TV excels at controlling its backlighting in a way that ensures you’ll never experience blooming to a level of being distracting, something that I was a little surprised to see given the lack of Mini LED. The TV doesn’t just get decently bright it offers relatively accurate color reproduction for a TV in this price range. The TV is being billed excellent for gaming."

Techradar

John Archer | March 2022
"Picture quality is fantastic truly mind-bogglingly good. It also plays into the screen’s gorgeous color performance, as spectacularly rich, vibrant tones now look both more consistently natural and balanced. With its extreme brightness and vibrant Quantum Dot color system, the QN95B delivers a dazzling demonstration of just how much of a difference HDR can make to picture quality."

About Hisense

Hisense, a Chinese TV manufacturer, entered the US market in approximately 2011 and has since acquired TV divisions from various companies such as Toshiba, Sharp, Hitachi, and NEC. Currently ranking as the fourth largest vendor in terms of sales volume, Hisense aims to capture a wide range of TV budget segments. They offer exceptional value with TVs that often outperform their competitors at similar price points, making them a compelling choice for consumers. In the US, they use Google TV as their smart TV software which provides the largest app selection and a very modern user interface, however it is not as user friendly as the software from other vendors.

About Samsung

Samsung, a South Korean electronics manufacturer, holds the title of being the largest global TV vendor in terms of units sold. They offer a diverse lineup of TV products that cater to various budget ranges. A notable achievement in recent years is the development of Quantum Dots, a technology that enhances color reproduction, resulting in richer and more vibrant hues. Samsung TVs are well-regarded for their high manufacturing quality and user-friendly software, making them an excellent choice for consumers seeking an intuitive viewing experience.
