The Hisense U7H is often somewhat less expensive and falls in the lower midrange price category. It would be a better choice if you're looking for value and a decent overall performance. However, the Samsung Q60B, which is often somewhat more expensive and placed in the midrange price category, may offer quality that warrants the higher price, depending on the brand preference and specific features you desire. Both TVs are LCDs with similar sound offerings, including Dolby Atmos and DTS:X support. Consider the Hisense U7H for its value-for-money and the Samsung Q60B if you prefer brand reputation and possibly a more polished user experience. Give Feedback

Tom's guide

Christian de Looper | December 2022
"We loved the Hisense U7H. It was able to deliver an excellent all-around image quality in its price range. The TV excels at controlling its backlighting in a way that ensures you’ll never experience blooming to a level of being distracting, something that I was a little surprised to see given the lack of Mini LED. The TV doesn’t just get decently bright it offers relatively accurate color reproduction for a TV in this price range. The TV is being billed excellent for gaming."

CNET

David Katzmaier | June 2022
"Samsung's 2022 QLED workhorse shines in bright rooms and with HDR. The Samsung Q60B stands out from the slew of entry-level TVs with an ultra-thin frame, a skinny profile from the side and even narrow stand legs. The Q60B is a very good bright-room TV, and my subjective impression of its ample light output was proven by measurements."

About Hisense

Hisense, a Chinese TV manufacturer, entered the US market in approximately 2011 and has since acquired TV divisions from various companies such as Toshiba, Sharp, Hitachi, and NEC. Currently ranking as the fourth largest vendor in terms of sales volume, Hisense aims to capture a wide range of TV budget segments. They offer exceptional value with TVs that often outperform their competitors at similar price points, making them a compelling choice for consumers. In the US, they use Google TV as their smart TV software which provides the largest app selection and a very modern user interface, however it is not as user friendly as the software from other vendors.

About Samsung

Samsung, a South Korean electronics manufacturer, holds the title of being the largest global TV vendor in terms of units sold. They offer a diverse lineup of TV products that cater to various budget ranges. A notable achievement in recent years is the development of Quantum Dots, a technology that enhances color reproduction, resulting in richer and more vibrant hues. Samsung TVs are well-regarded for their high manufacturing quality and user-friendly software, making them an excellent choice for consumers seeking an intuitive viewing experience.
