If you prioritize overall picture quality, especially in darker viewing environments, and may occasionally game, the TCL S546 is a better choice, as it offers good dark room performance, and SDR brightness is rated very good. However, for rooms with a lot of sunlight, the Hisense R6G might not be ideal due to its poor performance in bright conditions. Both TVs are at a budget price, but the TCL S546 is usually less expensive and it supports Dolby Vision and HLG, which can enhance HDR content viewing, whereas the Hisense R6G supports only HDR10. If gaming is a frequent activity, you might find the TCL S546's response time and input lag more accommodating, although it is not rated for very high gaming performance. Note also that the TCL S546 is slightly older, which could mean fewer future updates compared to the Hisense model.
